Driving Customer-First Experiences
Mindera and Waitrose Online Develop AI-lead Customer-First Solutions that Produced Amazing Customer Experiences in just Three Days!
So you have heard of a “hackathon”, yes? Bit dated do you think? Not at all!
Not with the rise of AI as it continues to evolve, Hackathons are becoming the secret recipe for success! Everyone is still learning & trialling with AI, and once Hackathon participants have a similar AI understanding, along with the necessary time and space in the right environment, the Hackathon itself drives energised collaboration that creates true innovation, creativity and lots of amazing ideas that are customer-first.
All these great benefits of a Hackathon is exactly what happened when Mindera and their client Waitrose Online decided to explore how AI could solve new problems and improve their customer experience, something which Waitrose is famous for & continually strives to improve everyday!
The results have been awesome with three new customer offerings that have been solved by using AI coming to the Waitrose.com website very soon! Hear for yourself from Waitrose:

What did Mindera do?
- owned the entire end-to-end facilitation, organisation and delivery of the event from start to finish, as described above
- the team helped our client define their problem statement and we facilitated the ideation session through which they came up with product ideas (using Mindera's AI idea assessment framework) for teams to prototype at the event
- worked with the client to build the relevant environments, repos & pipelines ahead of the event for people to use
Mindera are now also leading their Waitrose AI Online Enablement team who are helping smooth the road for other teams who decide to use AI to solve customer problems if they wish.
