Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

2022 was the first year of emissions reporting. The period reported is January 2022 to December 2022. The baseline emissions audit included all scope 1 & 2 plus significant scope 3 including, Energy consumption, business travel, employee commuting, working from home, and purchased goods and services. The emissions have been calculated using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol methods and targets set using the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) principles for achieving net zero by 2040.
Scopes 1 & 2 emissions were measured and calculated in accordance with SECR requirements. Scope 2 emissions have been calculated using the Location Based approach. Scope 3 Emissions were measured and calculated in accordance with the GHG Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress toward achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 247 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 28% We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next ten years to 142 tCO2e by 2032. This is a reduction of 58% We project that carbon emissions will decrease 36 tCO2e by 2050. This is a reduction of 90% These targets have been set using Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) guidelines

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures have been completed or implemented since the 2022 baseline. We have measured our carbon emissions using the principles of the Green House Gas (GHG) Protocol and set the baseline year as 2022 and are commencing our carbon reduction plans. In the future, we hope to implement further measures such as:
- Reducing electricity use in offices through increased efficiency.
- Reviewing air travel requirements.
- Implement continual improvement programs and continually review new technology.
- Engage with suppliers and implement a low-carbon procurement plan
- Complete a full energy review for the UK office.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and use the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard. This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body). Carbon Lens Ltd confirms that a carbon footprint calculation has been completed, and a carbon reduction plan has been developed for Mindera in accordance with recognised greenhouse gas accounting standards.
