Celebrating women tech leaders at London Terrariums
Inside one of our International Women’s Day events.

When the conditions are right, growth happens!
At Mindera, we believe the best business relationships are people-first.
In the same way our solutions focus on the challenges our customers and their customers face, rather than being technology-led, our client partnerships can only truly flourish by getting to know the people behind the businesses we work with.
That’s one of the reasons we have so many longstanding client relationships. It also sparked an idea for one of this year’s Mindera International Women’s Day events. Why not celebrate the strong connections we’ve built with the women who head up the businesses we’re proud to call partners, along with their personal achievements? And do this while underlining the importance of nurturing, developing and maintaining the personal relationships that lie at the heart of our success.
The aim was to have fun, network and do something a little different…
So, we decided to invite some of our closest women friends in technology to a special event at London Terrariums. The aim was to have fun, network and do something a little different: celebrating personal growth by getting everyone involved in assembling their own little plant ecosystem inside a glass container during a fascinating terrarium workshop. The evening concluded with dinner, where our guests had the chance to continue their conversations and reflect on our partnerships.
The right conditions
Just like terrariums, successful long-term partnerships start with clear foundations, trust that filters friction, the right capabilities and letting good ideas find the light. When the conditions are right, growth happens.
So… how did the event go?
Our guests, including tech leaders from Burberry, The Financial Times and M&S, all sparked new personal relationships and deepened existing ones.
Well, we are delighted to report that not only did everyone have a great time, but that our nurturing theme was truly embraced as our guests, including tech leaders from Burberry, The Financial Times and M&S, all sparked new personal relationships and deepened existing ones. The event brought us all closer together as we celebrated and rallied behind women across the globe.

A quiet lesson
“At first glance, terrariums are just plants in a jar,” said one of our special guests and clients Aliyah Kahki, Innovation Manager at M&S. “But the more you build it, the more it feels like a quiet lesson in how ecosystems really work.”
The inspiration for the event came from Mindera Retail Lead, Hetal Kurji, who wanted to bring clients together in an unusual way, and she was particularly delighted how much everyone enjoyed the terrarium workshop.
Commenting further on the day, Mindera Fashion Tech’s Olivia Swainson, who helped organise the outing, said: “It created a shared space to talk face to face with people individually and network. Everyone shared their experience of working with Mindera, and I’m happy to report that this was all very positive.”
Watch this space for our next special client event!
