Mindera web app helps disabled people get more from their care budgets
How charity Mosaic 1898 is delivering better care to people with disabilities in Leicester.

The new app will enable the charity to take its personalised Direct Payments Support Services (DPSS) to the next level.
A website application developed by Mindera is enabling disabled people registered with Mosaic 1898 – a Leicester-based charity, to improve the management of the direct payments they receive from their local authority to spend on care services. This will help them get the most from their care budgets.
Disabled people or their caregivers can choose to receive direct payments from their local authority instead of arranged care services. This helps to give them more control over how their care and support needs are met.
The Mosaic 1898 team are experts in supporting disabled people to manage their direct payments, empowering them to access the care provision they need and want. The new app will enable the charity to take its personalised Direct Payments Support Services (DPSS) to the next level and deliver better care for local people with disabilities.
Improved functionality includes the ability to import files in a single click, replacing the previously time-consuming process, with all transactions automatically associated with the respective direct payment or personal health budget. The application also supports the automatic creation of new accounts, while a support channel has been created, enabling users to contact Mosaic 1898 directly through the app.
Mindera has also produced documentation and shared user guidance videos with Mosaic 1898, enabling its team to help people use the app. This will increase adoption and impact.
