Mindera helped Clear Review by developing three new core features to add to its pre-existing performance management system.

These features will help Clear Score’s customers make their workplaces more productive and staff more engaged in their work. Indeed, they now underpin Clear Review’s engagement module.

Challenges

Clear Review wants to get its engagement software into businesses to help drive productivity and profitability. The company is achieving this by introducing extra features that enable employees to be involved in their workplace and create a more open environment.

These are the three areas of the engagement module Mindera developed in partnership with Clear Review:

• Temperature Check: A quick-fire four question survey. Clear Review collaborated with a psychologist to get the most out of this data.
• Surveys and Rounds: This allows HR teams to create bespoke surveys.
• Reports: These reports to show users the results of their surveys and provide them with helpful insights.

Solutions

Upon partnering with Mindera in 2019, Clear Review had a clear vision of wanting to introduce a new addition to its existing system. We were really excited to collaborate with Clear Review and help the brand by using our innovative technology and resources.

Before starting the project, we needed to understand any challenges on features, scalability, and anything else that needed to be considered. We also needed to prepare the architecture and tech stack.

Once this initial work was completed, we integrated both of our teams and came together for our first sprint zero.

We defined requirements, expectations, and created a high-level, solid release plan. We then used an agile working environment, which gave us the flexibility to change things whenever it was necessary to do so.

We continued to connect through all of the usual agile ceremonies. These included the following tasks:

• Daily stand-ups
• Retros
• Refinements
• Planning sessions.

We used the below tech stack and frameworks:

• Angular 2
• Python
• AWS
• Serverless

This helped increase performance and reliability, resulting in a higher return on investment and decreased bounce rate.

Results

These are the three key features of the solution we implemented for Clear Review:

• Temperature check
• Surveys and rounds
• Reports

Below, we explain each of these features in more detail.

Temperature check

This is a quickfire, four-question survey for employees which, once taken, appears again after a set amount of time. The questions have been scientifically validated by a psychologist to measure work engagement.

Surveys and rounds

This is where an HR/Admin user is able to create a bespoke survey, with four different question types. They then can send the survey to all of their organisation, to Clear Review or to separate users using the rounds feature. Rounds have a scheduled end date and can be stopped or extended where needed.

Reports

These can be generated off the back of the temperature check answers. The data provided by these reports enables businesses to gather insights across their different teams and make changes to areas where it’s necessary to do so.
