A Mindera Team Adventure in Chefchaouen

In the last week of April, a group of us from Mindera took a trip to the enchanting city of Chefchaouen, Morocco. Known for its bright blue buildings and laid-back vibe, Chefchaouen was the ideal destination for the first Moroccan Mindera trip. We were going to get the team together - as many of us had never met in person - to relax, do some fun activities, and celebrate being part of this community!

Our journey kicked off in Casablanca, followed by a scenic drive of seven hours to Chefchaouen. The winding road through the Rif Mountains gave us incredible views and set the tone for what was to come. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a city that looked like something out of a storybook, with its narrow, twisting streets and vibrant blue buildings.

We stayed in a traditional riad, complete with a beautiful courtyard and a calming central fountain. Each morning, we enjoyed a typical Moroccan breakfast on the terrace.

To foster some team spirit, we took part in a few group activities. The initial plan was to do some trekking, ziplining and quad biking in the area. But it ended up raining a lot on the day, and we didn’t want to risk taking the quad bikes in such weather. So we went on a small trek to a hill that had a small mosque and a great view of the city. Another indoor activity we enjoyed was playing board games in the Riad space, to get away from the weather and get to know each other a bit more.

In the evening we went on a gastronomical trip. We dined at traditional restaurants, trying out dishes like Tajine, Bissara and Atay Chamali. Every meal was a chance to sit down together, share our favourite moments of the day, and enjoy the delicious flavours of Moroccan cuisine.

By the end of the trip, we all felt closer and more connected. The experience in Chefchaouen didn’t just give us a break from work; it brought us together through shared adventures and new experiences. The scenery and local cuisine made this trip unforgettable. Chefchaouen wasn’t just a destination; it was the perfect setting for building friendships and strengthening our team spirit. We’re all looking forward to the next Mindera adventure!
